LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) — Two northern Indiana men whose sons died in the Iraq war have won tickets to the Super Bowl in a drawing that honors service members.
The wives of Jim Frantz of Lafayette and Charles Wilson of Otterbein entered their husbands in Rolls-Royce's "Gold Star Dads" drawing. The men's names were picked in a blind drawing.
Rolls-Royce also will hold a pregame tailgate party Sunday at an Indianapolis hotel for wounded and recovering Marines.
Frantz's son, Army Spc. Matthew Frantz, died in a roadside bombing on Jan. 6, 2006. Wilson's son, Marine Cpl. Bryan Wilson, was killed Dec. 1, 2004, when his Humvee overturned.
Frantz and Wilson say attending Sunday's game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis will be both fun and poignant.
