A Warsaw man has been located and arrested by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies on charges of exposing himself to Amish school children.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified on Saturday of a possible indecent exposure incident that had occurred last Friday morning at an Amish school southeast of Nappanee in Kosciusko County. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Detectives continued the investigation into this week and were able to obtain a license plate number that led them to 46 year-old Darrin Ray Gibbs of Warsaw.
Gibbs admitted to a detective that he had stopped outside an Amish school in the Nappanee area and exposed and touched himself in view of school children at the location. It was also discovered during the investigation that Gibbs has two previous convictions of indecent exposure in Michigan in 1989 and 1991.
Gibbs was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony public indecency/indecent exposure and felony vicarious sexual gratification. The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office has set Gibb’s bond at $2,000.
