Quick arrest of suspect believed to have robbed Popeye's Chicken

South Bend Police have made a quick arrest after the armed robbery, Monday afternoon, at the Popeye’s Chicken
restaurant in the 2600 block of Lincolnway West.

During the initial investigation, police were given a suspect description which was broadcast to
the officers that were responding to the area. Within a few minutes, officers had located a possible suspect.

The man believed to have committed the robbery was transported to the police station while evidence
was being collected at the scene.

The Saint Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case, and deciding on the formal charges.
The name of the suspect is not being released at this time pending formal charges.

The South Bend Police Department and the Investigative Division is still actively
investigating this robbery as well as other robberies within the City of South Bend.

They are asking for the public’s assistance in resolving these crimes. Anyone with
